INFORMATION AND COVID RESPONSE
We are very excited to be able to offer our children Sunday morning programming! For children who wish to attend Kids Church or Toddlers, you must join Kids programming at the beginning of the service; kids cannot enter the sanctuary. If a child chooses to attend the adult service in the sanctuary, they will be part of that service for the duration of that service.
According to our GO Protect child and staff safety plan, children will be registered for service and COVID standards will be adhered to. Please read the following carefully to help us help you maintain those standards.
Can my child attend children’s programming?
If all answers above are YES, your child can attend the appropriate children’s service. Please read the rest of this document so you are aware of the procedures that have been implemented.

Entry into Children’s Classrooms.
- Kids Church - single door off the foyer behind the “emoji” desk.
- Toddlers - continue down the hallway and the classroom door is at the end.
** Sometimes children have a difficult time settling. If they are not settled and happy at the time of drop off, we will be unable to receive them at this time. If your child becomes unsettled sometime during their stay with us, rest assured that we will be contacting you. (Child’s number will be displayed on the big screen in the sanctuary.)
Hands - Be aware that we will be having children use hand sanitizer during their time with us.
Toys, Surfaces, Bathroom, etc. - We will be following the recommended cleaning protocols as per the Alberta Government.
Please assess your child using the attached check list before coming to church to determine if your child can attend our program. Please read it carefully.
If a child develops symptoms of illness (even mild cold symptoms) during the program, the parent will be asked to pick up the child (see below) and take them home.
Please no outside toys or extra accessories like little purses.
We have a coat check for children only. Upon arrival to the classroom check in, you can get a hanger for your child(ren)'s coats or you can simply hang them on the hooks provided in the coat area closest to the toddler room. At the end of service, please pick up you child(ren)'s coats and then pick up your child(ren).
No water or snacks will be served during children’s programming. The water fountain is currently closed. Please ensure that your child(ren) have eaten and had a drink, before attending the kids programming. In toddlers, please don’t send a water bottle with your child. In kids church, kids can bring a water bottle clearly marked with their name.
Toddlers - parent will be called as usual but we do ask children to use the bathroom if needed before coming to toddlers.
Kids Church has a bathroom available for children to use.
Children will not be wearing masks. If a parent wants their child to wear a mask, then the child will attend congregational service with the parent. We will not be held responsible for enforcing a child to wear a mask AND wear it properly. For staff, masks are optional.
Picking up your child
Go through side sanctuary door.
- Toddlers first - pick up at the same door you dropped them off at.
- Kids Church second - continue down the hall and pick up will be at the double doors just past the bathrooms.
Parents will come to the door and your children will be brought to you. Please keep physical distancing in mind as you wait for your turn.
Exiting the church
Once you have picked up your child(ren), exit through the side door of the church.
Our child and staff protection plan is still in effect as it has always been. Staff cannot serve until they have been screened and properly trained.
