Welcome to Kids Camp VBS

We are excited to bring you our annual Kids Camp VBS once again! Come join us for stations like games, imagination station, and more! We aim to help kids have a great time connecting with others while they also connect with Christ.

July 2-6, 2024
Tuesday to Saturday
  • MORNING session: 9:00 - 12:00  (full)
  • AFTERNOON session: 1:00 - 4:00
Ages 4 to Grade 6

If you are viewing this page on your phone, you will get the best results if you hold the phone horizontally.

Kids Camp is a free event, however, we would appreciate any help you can give us financially. Prices have increased tremendously resulting in larger output costs. If you wish to contribute, you can do so as follows:

  • e-transfer (Kids Camp VBS in the comment) -
  • Online here.
  • Church office or 'New Here / Giving' desk - please indicate that it is for Kids Camp VBS
  • nautical or scuba items for decorations

During the week before VBS, you will receive an email stating the group colour and name that your child will be in.

The morning of VBS, you will head into the main large room, and take your child to the colour and group name as indicated in your email. There will be people there to help you find the group. Once you have found the group, please introduce yourself to the group leader. You are free to leave anytime after that.

If you can't remember the colour or name of the group, the 'New Here' desk has that information for you.

  1. You will enter the church and wait in the foyer - please do not go into the large room with the children.
  2. At dismissal time, you will be met at the door, and the person will ask who you are if s/he does not know you, and the names of the children you are picking up (s/he will check the pick up list from the Kids Camp registrations)
  3. At this point, you will go with the person into the large room and gather your children.
  4. You will be led to the large room side door, and you will exit the church at the end of that hall (the side church door).

  • Please do not send your child if they are feeling sick (in the past 24 hours).
  • If your child becomes sick while at VBS, we will be calling you (or emergency contact if we can't reach you) to come get your child.
  • If you do need to keep your child home, we ask you give us a call.

I'm trying to register my child for the morning camp. But I can only select the afternoon session?

The morning session is currently full, but there is lots of space in the afternoon session.

What time do I bring my child to the church?

The doors will open at 8:45 / 12:50 and the program begins at 9:00 . Your child will join his/her group in the main large room (see dropping off my child menu item)

What will my child eat for snack?

Midway through the morning children will be given a small snack which relates to the theme of the day, along with water. Allergies will be respected as indicated on their registration.

What shoes will my child wear during the day?

Your child does not need to bring special indoor shoes. However, we ask that the shoes are comfortable clean shoes to help protect our flooring, and shoes that will allow participation in games.

I am having troubles registering online. What do I do?

Please call (780-594-5542 ext. 2), or e-mail ( ) the church. We will do what we can to help.

Does my child need to bring anything?

No, everything they need should be provided. Please do not send any toys with your child.

Is there a waiting list once the Kids Camp has reached its maximum capacity?

Yes, we have reached our limit of 100 kids! We are actively evaluating how to accommodate more children. Please register your child as this will influence our options.

What is GO Protect?

We have a protection plan in place called GO Protect. All paid and unpaid staff are screened, including a vulnerable sector criminal record check and reference checks. We adhere to the policies established within that plan. As such, the doors will be locked after 9:15, and only those people who have a good reason to be in the building will be allowed in. If you arrive late, simply ring the doorbell.

How will I pick up my child?

Your child MUST be picked up at noon. Details on the procedure are under the 'picking up my child' menu item.

Can my child bring toys from home?

Please do not bring any toys from home. The morning is full of activities and toys will become a distraction for the child and a stressor for the crew.

What if I need to get a hold of my child during the Kids Camp?

You can either come to the church in person (if the door is locked, simply ring the bell), or you can call the office.  780-594-5542

What is your cancellation policy?

We need to plan and purchase all materials needed before the start of the kids camp. If your child will not be attending, please let us know so we can give the spot to someone from the waiting list. If a day will be missed, please let us know that as well. Simply call 780-594-5542 or email .

If my child is unable to attend one day or all of Kids Camp VBS, I will contact the church at 780-594-5542, so a child on the waiting list can attend.

We will be taking pictures/video throughout the day. These might be used online, in print, and during church services. If there is a reason that your child cannot have pictures/videos published in any of these three medias, please add that to the comments during the registration process.
